A downloadable project
A mecha character made for my masters project at university. We were tasked with making either a mecha character or a spaceship.
I adapted a beautiful concept by Sovi Ngau, adding feet as well as some different colours: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/6JQPx
The idea was that the mecha had been sitting dormant for years, becoming rusted and stiff. One day it re-animates and emerges, looking for battle.
Software used: 3DS Max, ZBrush, 3DCoat, Substance Painter, UE4.
UE4 packages used for podium and rocks: Nature Package by SilverTm, Soul: City by Epic Games.
The concept was used with permission from the artist.
